What a banner year it was as many of our clients across the country experienced record-breaking sales. With more than 1 million visitors and tens of thousands of leads generated in 2021, a listing on PCR has proven to help communities nationwide keep their pipelines full and inventory low. And here’s a spoiler alert: there are no signs of things slowing down in 2022.
Attracting Homebuyers in Search of the Perfect “Lifestyle”
Before we announce this year’s winners, let’s examine the kind of things homebuyers are looking for in their ideal community.
Each year, PCR conducts a survey of site visitors to discover the behavior, motivations, and financial situations of those looking to buy or rent in a master-planned community. According to the most recent survey, 81% of respondents cited “active lifestyle amenities” as the reason they want to live in a community—specifically selecting swimming pools (73%), walking/biking trails (71%), and fitness centers (65%) as their most-preferred community amenities.
Going beyond just the amenities, 2021 saw some common denominators in the kind of lifestyle people prefer as well. More than 50% of those surveyed are looking to settle down in an active adult 55+ community, for example. As far as specific recreational activities, living near a golf course, beach, and/or lake was also preferred by most searchers.
Not surprisingly, many of the communities on this “best of” list include the lifestyle amenities searchers are looking for—all the attractive community attributes PCR brings to the forefront.
Spotlighting the Unique Appeal of Amenity-Rich Communities
In partnership with some of the country’s top builders, developers, retirement communities, country clubs, and realtors, PCR goes beyond the real estate to shine a spotlight on all the amenities and lifestyle characteristics active adult homebuyers want.
